I wanted a cover sized to fit just the table vs. most of the covers you find in stores for both table and chairs. Our table is on an upstairs deck, so it's too large to remove for winter storage without disassembling it. The velcro straps keep the cover secured to the table legs so it doesn't blow off in high winds.
